Blockbuster is sending us a nice steady stream of Little House on the Prairie DVDs, K and I are loving them.
K adores the dresses, aprons and bonnets ( not bad for a gal, who attended Home Ed P.E session this morning wearing sports gear with a funky scarf round her neck and cool finger-less gloves ) and I love it all, the cooking, the cleaning ( !!! ) the wagon and horses etc.
This afternoon, while we devoured another episode ( O was napping ) I found myself very worried ... Mrs Ingles was teaching school, as Miss Beadle had hurt her ankle because one of her pupils had scared her horse with a snake, horse bolted and Miss Beadle was thrown from the wagon !
So anyway, Mrs Ingles stepped in to teach school for awhile but with Charles at the saw mill and the older girls at school, who on earth was looking after Kerry ????
Am sure it wasn't Mrs Olson ... LOL.

and the soles and the legs .. so cute.
There is something so wonderful in putting your babe into Mama-made, as I slipped these on those gorgeous feet, I felt so very close to my wonderful, much missed Nana, her hand guided mine as we slipped them on, just as her gentle hands guided me all those years ago learning to knit.
Amazing moments.
Pattern is from Children's Year, play around with the needle sizing as my first attempt came out HUGE.
