30 Days of Beauty : 9

An amazing sight today.
Hundreds of birds gathering in the field.

The sounds of their wings flapping was incredible, making their own drumbeats.

Dancing together in twists, turns and spirals.

So many of them, the sky was full.

It is amazing when you get flocks of birds like that isn't it! How on earth they don't all crash into each other I don't know :-)

Must've been an awesome experience!

I love how big flocks of birds are always so in sync with each other. Truly amazing.

WOw - what a wonderful sight that must have been. Did you see what kind of birds they were?

Oh, this is so beautiful! I remember a day when the birds reached from horizon to horizon and just seemed to keep coming; it was incredible. How wonderful that you were able to capture it.

Always an amazing thing to watch. I never seem to have my camera with me when we see anything like this.
Lovely!

Beautiful. Could they be starlings. We have flocks of starlings here that are constantly after the pig food. They are a busy bunch, always chatting and flapping happily!

It always amazes me how they work together with such synchronicity. Another wonderful photo of beauty, thank you xx

It needs a video! ;)

We actually saw something similar (though less of them) at the airport. Chloe didn't actually believe at first that they were birds -- so many, all flying around together, all in one place.

I think that would scare me.

I love to watch how the shape of the flock changes though.
