My poor sewing machine, which has been with me for many years, mostly lies dusty and unused in the cupboard under the stairs ( very Harry Potter ish ! )
But recently, instead of lusting after all the wonderful bits and pieces other bloggers seem to always be up to but sitting on my hands ( and piles of stashed craft equipment ) and not giving them ago, I have decided to just get on and do them.
Finding the time has been easy, one rule ... switch off the TV for the whole evening or at least a couple of hours.
So out came the sewing machine, quick dust down and we began to make friends.
Inspiration came from here
http://www.rookiemoms.com/make-some-easy-kids-pants/
and as with most things from Gill, who always gets things done !
I had no t-shirts to use, so ordered some cheap material from ebay ( gotta love it ) sent N to the pub, children to bed and set to.
The above photo is for my 30 days of Beauty project, proving to myself I am no longer just a Knitter but a Sewer too.

I am neither a successful knitter, nor a successful sewer, but I LOVED making my babies pajama pants! Congratulations to you mama!
Looks like you are a sewer after all! Very cute pants.
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, and for being so encouraging with your many comments on "30 days of beauty" photos!
They just scream out FUN! You very clever lady xxx
very cute!
You and I are on the same wavelength! Just this week I dared to dust off my own (very nice hand-me-down) machine and sew some clothes for a sweet little doll that my younger son is getting for his birthday next week. My first attempt, a simple A-line dress, was too snug, but I was exhilarated anyway. My second attempt, a nightgown made from a ratty vintage one of my own, went much better. Sure, the seams are a bit wonky and there are some other issues, but it actually fits and looks halfway decent. Now, buoyed by my success and inspired by your post (love those pants!!), I might just move on to human clothing! xoxo
Aww what a lovely post!
I'm terrible with my sewing machine but crafty blogs always send me skipping back to it to try again.
