Needle Felting

If I had managed to get a list of "to dos" done for June, needle felting would definitely have featured. The starter kit, I bought a couple of years ago has sat in the cupboard while I have admired and purchased other people's wonderful creations.

Finally, I got my act together, supplies gathered and O safely spending an afternoon with Grandma and Grandad ( those needles are sharp - ouch! ) tons of tips read on the net and an idea in my head, I began.

I soon found a rhythm and lost myself in this new crafting, enjoying the colours and textures.

A rabble of butterflies started emerging, funny that for such delicate creatures, a group of them is such a harsh term.
I wasn't impressed with my work at first, aren't we always our own worse critics ? but with some tweaks here and there, they are not so bad, definitely a craft to work on.

I haven't heard of needle felting before. You've done well for a first timer.

Lovely, it's great fun too isn't it?
And yes, ouch to the needles but it gets easier the more you do.

Well done, that is also on my to do list of trys too :-) Those butterflys are lovely and would look fab on a mobile swaying in the breeze.

'booful bubberflies' as Rose would have said when she was a bit smaller!
It gets very addictive once you get past the accidentally stabbing your fingers stage ;-)

Needle felting is on my to-do list. I think your butterflies are beautiful. I love the colours you've used. What are you going to do with them now?

Did the kit come with everything your needed? I have been wanting to give it a try, but hate to buy more gadgets if I do not like it.

I tend to collect tons of stuff from various tried adventures that don't quite pan out sometimes.
