Tick Tock, Tick Tock.

As I sat looking at these little feet dangling down, seeing how much they have grown, how much he has grown, how time is passing, feeling not alittle teary at the thought of my children getting older, bigger, wiser, the prospect of no more babies for us, the post arrived .... containing my eldest first National Insurance Card.
I gave into those tears.
Update - 6th June.
And then to add insult to injury, yesterday afternoon, O wee'ed for the first time on his potty !

Aw, I know where you are coming from. Some people can't hurry childhood along fast enough, but for me, it's like sand through your fingers. It's not that we don't want them to grow up and become individual people, it's more that we see the world from a wonderful, fresh angle when in the company of little children, it's like the world is new and we see it with fresh eyes.

Sending lots of love and love those little chubby feet in the sandals! If only we could hit the 'pause' button now and then. xxxx

It is so sad that they grow up so quickly isn't it. I was hoping they would invent a drug to halt it for a while so I can enjoy the toddler years for longer. Little lady has done several things later which are signs of her no longer being a baby :-(

So hear you, dear friend. Your words go straight to my heart and I feel teary, so conscious of this. Such a precious picture. Your children are truly blessed with all that incredible love from their mama.

The awesome pain and joy of being Mamma hey? I teared up reading your post because I have these little moments as well. I have a dear friend who says to me at these moments "stop thinking of what you may be losing and think of all you have to look foward to". It is so true, they may not stay milky smelling babies for ever but they always are precious :)
