With our World still blanketed in white and temps of -15, I am so thankful for our store of Mother Earth goodness, to ease the coughs and sneezes that are creeping into our home.
I don't tell too many people, but my mother used to make a concoction of rye whiskey, honey and lemon and gave us a spoonful the sign of a cough & cold. It did the trick, although, she probably would have a visit from a social worker today if they knew she gave us a little "booze." Also, a hot toddy was her cure for cramps and flu when we got in our teens. Old remedies without the fear of over "antibiotics". Love you...stay warm dear friend, xoxo

Colds are lousy, but hopefully you have a warm feeling that you prepared ahead, when you could. Hope you all feel better soon.
The temp here is -6 in the middle of the day and I thought that felt cold! I'm feeling a wimp compared to your -15.
Last year was the first time I used Elderberry syrup I was glad.
Keep healthy :)
To Susan: I've heard from family that whiskey was common for toothaches adult, babies and children. Social Services would be very busy today. lol
Never heard of that, but I'm all about teas for coughs (is it a tea?)
