Yarn Along - 3

Hello and huge thanks to all the Yarn Alongers, who left such wonderful comments on my first YA post, much appreciated, knitters what a great crowd.
Feel like joining in the fun ? posting a current WIP and your book of the moment, visit here, it's a real treat http://www.gsheller.com/

I am noticing a habit with my knitting, find a good, straight forward pattern and then knitting it several times, so it's with no surprise that I find myself on my third plain vest, pattern from Pickles and very happy with them all too, this one, size 4 is for a birthday girl, who will be partying on Saturday, so must get a move on.

The lilac yarn is a gorgeous, soft delight, perfect for looking forward to Spring. It came, along with many, many friends as a woolly-tastic gift from this fantastic blogger http://when-i-get-the-time.blogspot.com/ thanks again honey, oh the fun to be had with 2 brimming bags of yarn, what plans I have.

A new book, Death at Wentwater Court by Carola Dunn, new author to me, came in a set of 8, so fingers crossed I like them !

Daisy Dalrymple is, I think, going to turn out to be the Miss Marple of the '20s, swapping twin set and pearls for flapper style attire, while solving many a mystery, perfect for this late winter reading.

Love your knitting basket. My daughter has a mini one and they are so handy for everything. It's so nice to find a pattern that you like and knit it a few times. I have a couple hat patterns I have done this with, everyone got one. The yarn you chose for this next vest is very pretty. We love shades of purple here.

Hope the book is good. I love to have a series to read.

Blessings, Elizabeth

Nice vest, I love vests on little kids. I also like the idea of knitting with one strand of cotton and one of merino (from that vest pattern), will have to try that.

that color of the yarn is really beautiful - so soft and it looks really cosy...I wish I had a vest like that :)

I love the colours in your photo. So warm and cosy. makes me smile. I must think about joining. I always have some knitting on the go, but I seem to be ploughing through a pile of non-fiction techy books at the moment.

I also need to add that I love your knitting basket! I must must must start trying to nit again, I was knitting a simple jumper two years ago and only have one sleeve to do to finish it! First I need to tidy the house though (visitors this weekend!) :) xx

I know what you mean; I've made this one scarf pattern, nine times. Obsessive, maybe, but it just feels comfortable to make it for friends and family. Love you, xoxo

Beautiful yarn. I think it's a great idea to find a good pattern and then become a pro at it. I'll have to do this. I've only ever knitted everything once.

Love your knitting basket and the lavender yarn is so pretty :) I love a good pattern that I can just repeat over and over to. Sometimes it's nice to have an old faithful as some of the online patterns I've tried have been a little wonky *grin*. Happy knitting :)
