In a Day

I have
showered, washed my hair, cleaned my teeth
dressed
taken and collected O from playschool
hoovered, swept and washed floors
fed chickens, collected a single egg
fed and watered the dog

made bread, beds, lunch and tea
turned a heel on my socks
had a cuppa with my parents
read (endless) books to O
listened to the radio
saved the sand pit lid from taking flight

hung out, brought in and folded washing
checked emails, FB and Ravelry
lit a fire and a candle
washed up, again and again
mopped up some teenage tears

watched the wind, blowing through the trees
delighted in the colours of the sky
breathed deeply, taking in the Autumn air
and sent some LOVE racing round on the clouds.

You are super woman! It's rainy here and I'm trying to decide what to do next. So many projects and I'm thinking about adding another--painting my dinning room a different color. I guess like the season, I need some change. Love you, sweet friend and wish I could have shared a cuppa with you today (between your chores).

I always love how 'ordinary' days are so extraordinarily rich, vibrant, beautiful and full. Hugs to you and your gorgeous family. V xxx

And to think of how much LOVE has energised all those tasks in your day.

Each day is full and amazing. Its not until the day is documented that it can be appreciated how much is packed into each day. Love your list and its rhythm.

Wow, that was an extremely productive day! Wish I could have some of your energy right now, lots to do but no time to do it. Not that I'm expected to as Master Oliver takes up way more time than I ever thought! :) x
