Ladies and Girls - Yarn Along

Joining in with Ginny for this weeks Yarn Along, sharing what's on the needles and what's being read.

I'm knitting for Me, yes Me, there's been few things, a hat, a shawlette, ermmm ... Yep that's about it, in 30 plus years of knitting.
I cast on a Lady Wren, a top, All. For. Myself, using Knit Picks, Comfy in DK, it's cotton, you know, cotton, that yarn I'm not sure about knitting with, it splits, it's this, it's that, well, actually, no, this is glorious yarn, soft, silky and wonderful to work with, I'm loving it.
But, oh my, baby knits to plus size tops, that's a whole lot of stitches I'm not use to having !
Provisional cast on, using crochet, a first for me, done.
And then there's my book, I know I'm very late to this party but Gone Girl, just wow.

I'd be interested to see what you think of the book when you're done. I enjoyed it at the beginning...

excellent you knit something big for yourself! I am such a selfish knitter I always have something cast on for myself, but I figure with all the work we put in it doesn't hurt to keep the rewards round for long :) love the colour you are working with! jenny xx

I love that you're knitting for yourself! I have to admit I tend to choose aran weight and chunky needles for my own projects simply because I'm too lazy to knit a big items in something more delicate!

I haven't tried a provisional cast on yet, must have a go.

Have I said I love that you're blogging again, yet? xx

I really like that pattern and it is a shock to go from quick baby knits to adult sweater, but it is worth it and selfish knits are so pleasurable!

I do love knitting with Knit Picks. I'm battling with a challenging yarn at the moment. Makes me appreciate the easy knits! Adding Gone Girl to my list to look out for.
