Heavenly Host

A gathering of Angels, ready to be sent with love, on their way as part of the Bits of Goodness Stocking Swap.

Pattern from Ravelry ( as always, what a great resource, have you joined yet ? ) http://www.ravelry.com/projects/nocton4/tiny-angel-dollI used bigger needles, than pattern states, to create a larger angel.

Angel chatter, the sweetest sound.

Wonderful wings to fly to their new homes.

With the funkest of hairstyles.

Postcard Fun

We have really enjoyed taking part in the postcard swap organised by Zoe over at
We sent our 5 cards to USA, Canada, UK, Australia and Israel.
We received the cards above from UK, Canada, USA and Australia ( we have one card outstanding )
Lovely to connect with other families around the World, finding out about their lifes and sharing book recommendations.

This swap encouraged us to find out about Postcrossing
http://www.postcrossing.com/ and have already received cards from Russia and Austria.

Rainbow Sewing

I have very kindly been allowed to join a crafting swap group based in America.
Themes are posted and when one takes your fancy, you sign up to make 5 items ( all the same ) plus an extra as a Thank You to the person organising the swap.In return you receive 5 different items, all hand made with love.
The theme that inspired me was "Rainbows"

I made 6 tissue/cloth holders, using this wonderful, easy pattern

I popped 2 cloths ( my trial pieces ) into the holders.
I hope they see passed my wonky lines and feel the fun I had creating them.
Another May "to do" crossed off.
-------------
I have added a "Blogging Week" list in the sidebar, am missing inspiration for Tuesday and Thursday, any suggestions ?

USA Bound

The ornament I sent my swap partner in the USA, read her wonderful blog here
http://www.lifeworththeliving.com/ ( great read for Home Edders )
He was great fun to make and I was sad to see him go but happy to know his new family adore him ( even if they can't decide if he's a moose or a reindeer LOL )
