Nesting

Completely inspired by these lovely blogs

http://childhoodmagic.blogspot.com/
http://themagiconions.blogspot.com/2010/02/make-pretty-spring-nest.html

and having a couple of days to ourselves ( K is staying over at a friends ) O and I decided to do some wet felting.

We both got soaked due to O's splashing but what fun and the result was 3 little eggs that needed a nest.

So while O continued with his felting/splashing/giggling I set to with the needles.

We sang " 3 little dickie birds " a dozen or more times and read The Best Nest and Hatch Egg Hatch.

Then hung our Best Nest on the tree.

Where our beautiful bird ( thanks H ) flew down to admire it.
A truly wonderful day.

Gorgeous! My kiddies would love to make them - goodness knows how you do it. Must do some research :-)

We love to wet-felt, but I hadn't even thought about doing eggs to welcome spring; great idea!

And thank YOU for visiting MY blog (and for saying such nice things about my photos in the 30 Days of Beauty project)!

Oh, I love this pretty tree with your knitted nest and felted eggs! You've inspired me to make something similar with my own children. Wonderful blog. :)

Great tree!!! I love the knitted nest, the lovely hearts, and the bird! I love tree branches, they are one of the best of all blank canvases!
