Yes, afew tears are shed and I'd be a liar if I didn't admit to some heartache being felt but my whole being is filled with relief and thankfulness that another Mama is holding her babe, that a family is born or added to, that brothers and sisters are seeing something of themselves as new borns, witnessing the wonder of a new sibling.
We celebrate each and everyone here, I share the wonderful news with N of people he has never met ( some I haven't either ) and we both smile and hug.
It is of course a wonderful excuse for the knitting needles to come out ( do they ever go away ! ) and lovely tiny knits to come into being.
I adore the Pilot Cap pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pilot-cap and have warmed so many heads with it.
Then another favourite pattern, knitted over and over ... The Pebble http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pebble-henrys-manly-cobblestone-inspired-baby-vest
Always a joy.
In celebration of a new baby boy for my friends in Ireland .. welcome R and Hello to Hermione, who's lovely Mama blogs herehttp://wheretheresawills.blogspot.com/
Packages on the way to you both, each stitch knitted with love, care and wishes of a bright, happy and healthy future.

I was just thinking, it's time for a new pebble for my 18 month old...last fall's looks so tiny!! It's such a great pattern. Love the colours of yours! Mothering mag had a great pilot cap on the cover once...the pattern is at turtleknits.com...must go and download it! Thanks for the reminder!
What gorgeous makes for a cute little baby's head - so warm and soft.

Lovely knits! I really like the pebble hats! :) x
You've been very busy :) I'm finishing up a neck scarf for a dear friend of Kelly's and "like another daughter." I'm late getting it off, but then these days, time seems to stand still. I love you, Susan
