Little Donkey

An afternoon of gingerbread biscuit making, bowls of Norwegian porridge topped with butter, sugar and cinnamon, was followed by

a magical, moon lit, woodland walk with some donkeys,

wearing elf hats and red wellies of course,

Blurry, fuzzy photos of a Yule treat with friends,

and at the end of our stroll, a special scene to admire.

The donkey is my favourite figure in the Nativity...so patient and strong. "I" said the donkey shaggy and brown, "I carried His mother up hills and down, I carried His mother to Bethlehem town; I", said the donkey, shaggy and brown.." Sweet!!

It must have felt you were making your way to Bethleham :) I wish I was there making gingerbread biscuits with you. I was here, by myself, thinking of all the times I baked with my girls. Love you, xoxo
