By my bed

Reading and to be read.
The pile is high and multiplying ready for all the long, dark nights of winter.
Mostly new to me books, found in charity shops and carboot sales, not really one for rereading books but a couple have slipped in "to kill a mocking bird" is one,as K is studying this for English literature and it's an all time favourite of mine, Darling Buds of May too, another love of mine.
What about you ? What's in your book pile ?

I'm plugging away at Rowling's new book A Casual Vacancy, I have no strong opinions as of yet!

Books books books! Where do I start, I always have a couple of novels on the go and piles of cookery craft anything of interest at the time. Also magazines for a quick snippet.
I am a fan of Kate Norton who has bought out a new book, I'm looking forward to cosy nights in!

My winter reading pile has several books on Navajo rug weaving and the history/politics and issues surrounding the treatment of the weavers by the trading post owners and how that changed rug design. Oh, and a book on zombies, because that is what the 11-year old boy thinks I should read. :)

I always have about ten books on the go at once, but at the moment my favourite is Healing the Mother-Daughter relationship with astrology.

...a lot of labour and birth related books that I've been avoiding (this will be my fourth time and I think I'm beyond the help of books!), and lots of Alice Hoffman...just started "Here on Earth". I love her writing style!
