Garlic

The bed revealed a meagre harvest, sad, sodden, rotting, with few exceptions.
I'm thinking the days and days of rain, the lateness of Summer and then lack of continuous sunshine have taken their toll.
I'm drying out, in today's sun and wind, what did come good and we will certainly celebrate this small but delicious harvest.

I was out admiring my vege garden before and thinking it was a miracle that anything has grown given how dire the weather has been. Summer took ages to start, and today in mid-Summer I minestrone on the stove because it's so damn cold. Enjoy your harvest.

Any harvest is still worth it. Hard to imagine rain. It is our dry season here. Hasn't rained since March and rain season starts October!!
